The student who enrolls in one of our courses automatically accepts the rules of this regulation.

GROUP COURSES:

ENROLLMENT – REGISTRATION

  1. Reservations: Reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance. The reservation will be confirmed once the registration fee has been paid. 
  2. Office hours: The office is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm. We can assist you in different languages. 

GENERAL RULES:

  1. The duration of one class hour is 60 minutes (50 minutes for intensive courses). The school is open all year round except for national and local holidays. Extensive groups follow the specified calendar. Classes that coincide with holidays will not be made up.
  2. Absences: In case of absence, the student cannot make up the class; however, they can request to attend the class remotely or receive documentation from the teacher. In case of the teacher’s absence, the school will do its best to provide a substitute, and short absences without replacement will be rescheduled for other dates.
  3. Level test: The level test is free and without obligation. All students (except beginners) must fill out and send us the completed written level test and needs analysis at least 1 week before the start of the course. The oral test is done on the first day of class or by phone.
  4. Regular progress reports and continuous evaluation of the student’s progress are communicated every trimester through Idealog’s intranet (the student is provided with an access code at the beginning of the course).
  5. All students who have attended a minimum of 85% of the scheduled classes receive a Certificate of Achievement (free). This certificate includes the course name, dates, course level, number of completed hours, and achieved level. This certificate is not valid as an official document according to current legislation on non-accredited education.
  6. Teaching materials: The center provides all the necessary materials for the course, including the loan of books, novels, DVDs, etc. 

SPECIFIC RULES: GROUP CLASSES (EXTENSIVE)

All extensive group courses are conducted in 3 trimester modules from October to June. Students can join a group at any time of the year after taking the placement test.

  1. The registration fee (€30) is personal and non-transferable. It is paid annually at the time of enrollment and for subsequent courses before September 1st.
  2. The registration fee does not include the right to a refund in case of student withdrawal for personal reasons.
  3. Payment method: Payment for regular courses is made by direct debit.
  4. For payment by bank transfer, credit card, or cash, please consult with the school. Language courses are exempt from VAT.
  5. In case of cancellation by the student, the return expenses will be borne by the student.
  6. If the student does not continue in the following trimester, they must notify it 2 weeks before the end of the previous trimester. Each group consists of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 9 students.
  7. The trimester payment is made in advance within the first 15 days of each trimester. After this date, a surcharge of 5% will be applied for each additional fortnight. In case of having a special discount on the quarterly fee as loyalty, it will be automatically canceled in case of interrupting the classes. Promotions (loyalty, birthdays, etc.) are not cumulative. Tripartite Foundation: Group courses can be subsidized for employees.
  8. Regular group courses have holidays according to the school calendar: Christmas and Easter. These days are not made up as they are accounted for within the trimester modules. The group calendar can be found on the price list.
  9. The school reserves the right to cancel courses that do not have a minimum of 4 students of homogeneous level. In the case of a group with fewer than 4 people, the school may offer to reduce the duration of the course by 2 weeks per trimester, for the same price, to avoid canceling the group.
  10. Once the course has started and the quarterly payment has been made, the student cannot request a withdrawal until the following trimester and is not entitled to a refund of the amount paid.
  11. WITHDRAWALS: The student must notify their withdrawal for the following trimester at least 2 weeks before the end of the previous trimester. Failure to notify the school will result in a 5% surcharge on the trimester price.
  12. Minors: For classes with minors, the school will notify parents in case of 2 consecutive absences. The school is not responsible for minors outside of class hours; it is mandatory to pick up the children at the end of the class, in case of delay, notify the school. 

SPECIFIC RULES: GROUP CLASSES (INTENSIVE)

  1. The prices of intensive group courses include the registration fee and teaching materials. Each class has a duration of 50 minutes. 
  2. The price is weekly and has a discount based on the number of contracted weeks. 
  3. They have a duration of 1 to 52 weeks depending on the minimum number of students (4 people) and can be 10h – 15h or 20 classes per week. 
  4. Intensive groups start every first Monday of the month – or any other Monday depending on the minimum number of students (4 people). 
  5. The school reserves the right to cancel courses that do not have a minimum of 4 students of homogeneous level. In the case of a group with fewer than 4 people, the school may offer to conduct a semi-individual course with different conditions. 
  6. Reservations: To reserve a spot, the full course payment must be made. For the 20-hour courses, in case of visa denial, Idealog will refund the amount paid, minus €200 for administrative fees. 
  7. Payment method: Intensive courses can be paid by credit card, cash, or bank transfer. Language courses are exempt from VAT. In case of cancellation by the student, the return expenses will be borne by the student

INDIVIDUAL COURSES

ENROLLMENT – REGISTRATION

  1. The registration fee (€30) is personal and non-transferable. It is made at the time of enrollment and at the beginning of each new course (intensive or immersion pack). 
  2. The registration fee does not include the right to a refund in case of student withdrawal for personal reasons. 
  3. If a course is not renewed, the student must notify the school 1 week before the end of their course. 
  4. Reservations: Reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance. The reservation will be confirmed once the registration fee has been paid. 
  5. Image rights: Idealog reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during the courses for promotional material, unless the student declares on their registration form that they do not wish to appear in our publications. 
  6. Data Protection: We inform you that your contact information is incorporated into a file owned by IDEALOG CENTRO DE IDIOMAS PARA LA EMPRESA, S.L., for the purpose of sending information, responding to inquiries, and generic contacts. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition established by the Data Protection Law at any time by submitting a written request, accompanied by a copy of an official document that identifies you, addressed to IDEALOG CENTRO DE IDIOMAS PARA LA EMPRESA, S.L. at CL. Castanyer, 41, Castelldefels, 08860-Barcelona. You can also oppose our commercial communications (Art.21.2 of the LSSI) by sending an email to info@idealog.es.

  2. REPORTS: Progress reports and satisfaction questionnaires are sent by email at the end of each course. 
  3. CERTIFICATE: An IDEALOG certificate of studies will be issued to all students who have attended a minimum of 85% of the scheduled classes (free of charge). This certificate will include the course name, course level, number of completed hours, and achieved level. This certificate is not valid as an official document in accordance with current legislation on non-accredited education.
  4. Teaching materials: The center provides all the necessary materials for the course. The price of materials for individual courses (except for hourly courses) is included in the price. This includes the loan of books, novels, DVDs, etc.

SPECIFIC RULES: PACKS

Absences: In case of absence, the student must notify the school or their teacher with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice

Classes canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be counted and cannot be made up. Instead of attending the class in person, the student can request to have a class via Skype, which will be counted as a regular class. Cancellations can be made directly with the teacher, by phone at 936645363, or by email at info@idealog.es. It is recommended to do so in writing.

In case of teacher absence, the school will do its best to provide a substitute, and short, uncompensated absences will be rescheduled on other dates according to the student’s availability.

Schedules: The student can choose their class schedule from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm from Monday to Friday, or Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Once the schedule is determined, the student can request a change in agreement with their teacher or the school. Any change in schedule must be communicated to the school well in advance. In case of student delay, the lost time will not be made up.

Teacher change: The student can request a change of teacher by contacting the school.

Expiration: The maximum period to complete a 30 or 60-hour pack is one year. After this time, the pack will be canceled.

Holidays: Classes that coincide with holidays will be made up.

At-home classes: Individual courses can take place at the student’s home or at their workplace according to the indicated rates + travel expenses. The rules are the same as for packs at the school.

SPECIFIC RULES: INTENSIVE OR IMMERSION COURSES

Cancellations: Dates and times for intensive or immersion courses must be notified at least one week in advance.

Once the course has started, it cannot be canceled, and there is no right to a refund.

SPECIFIC RULES: DISTANCE LEARNING COURSES

Online courses through our platform have a duration of 3-6-9 or 12 months. Students have access to the platform 24 hours a day.

Distance courses with a teacher follow the same rules as in-person courses.
