Morning or afternoon schedule
Extensive courses are ideal for people residing in Castelldefels and surrounding areas who want to study a language effectively but without rushing. At the school, you can find an international environment. The various cultural activities carried out will help you in your social interactions. The course extends from September to June, following the academic year. It is divided into 3 trimesters: September to December, January to March, and April to June. We offer small groups of 4 to 9 students maximum, with an average of 6. This size gives each student the opportunity to practice the language in every class. The class duration is 60 minutes.
Methodology
Our methodology is based on a communicative and dynamic approach, following the descriptors of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The student is at the center of the class, and all activities are aimed at developing their learning. During the classes, the student can practice all skills: listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing, as well as grammar, vocabulary, and cultural knowledge.
The Objective
The objective is for the student to develop their own learning tools and be able to take responsibility for their learning. The extensive courses are offered at 6 levels, from beginner to advanced (from A1 to C2), following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the curriculum plan of the Instituto Cervantes.
One level is covered per course. Level A1 is completed in 2 trimesters. Before starting a course, all students (except beginners) must complete a written (online) and oral (by phone or at the center) placement test. The test is free and without obligation. You can start at any time of the year if you have prior knowledge.
Courses for beginners start every first Monday of the month (with a minimum of 4 students). At the beginning of the course, students receive the manuals they will use throughout the year, as well as the additional materials provided by the teacher throughout the year.
